Syllabus: About Web Design
The Web Page Design class at Foothill Technology High School
is designed for students that have completed coursework equivalent
to Technology Literacy 1. Priority during registration is given
to sophomores, juniors and seniors that have completed Technology
Literacy 1 or 2. Content will include, but is not limited to:
- Basic HTML code (4.0)
- Creating web graphics with Adobe Photoshop (version 6.0)
- Creating web graphics with Macromedia Fireworks (version
MX)
- Basic Cascading Style Sheets
- Introduction to Macromedia Dreamweaver (version MX)
- Basic Javascript for Dreamweaver (behaviors)
- Plug Ins for web design
- Basic animation with Macromedia Flash (version MX)
- Basic web design with Macromedia Flash (version MX)
- Basic Action Scripts for Flash
- Design issues including color scheme, page layout, navigation,
etc.
- Web Site Evaluation
- Planning and Implementation of Web Sites
- Research into hosting services, domain registration and
other relevant issues
- And much more...
