Every spring student elections are held on the Foothill campus
to choose representatives from each class for the Associated
Student Body government.
Two elected positions, President and Vice-President, for each
class are voted upon by the students in each class. Two additional
positions, ASB President and ASB Vice-President, are also included.
The election for ASB positions is held first so that interested
parties not elected may run for the available class positions.
The ASB class also consists of a number of appointed
positions. Students are recommended by Foothill staff members
to attend a general interest meeting. Students who are interested
in participating go through an application and selection process
held by the ASB advisor and ASB student leadership. Selected
students are invited to register for the ASB class for the following
fall and attend a series of training and bonding activities through
the spring and summer.
